Amanda J. Rodgers ~ Singer/Songwriter at Heart developed her confidence as a vocalist after competing in Canadian Idol, the hit CTV series. Amanda has established her career as an Artist Photographer and founded Vocal Stars Academy of Performing Arts, a fine arts academy focusing on vocals, songwriting and development of artists in pursuit of a career in the music industry.

A natural performer, Amanda is pursuing her dreams as a recording artist having written her debut album, Rising Love while preparing for her Moonstone Tour. Amanda recorded a song she wrote titled, Today which successfully made it into the Top 10 CBC Searchlight 2016. Today was also featured on CBC radio airplay across Canada. Most recently Amanda composed the score for the screenplay featured in Illuminate your Magic, Truly an inspiring experience for the spirit and soul, captivating the hearts of her audience.

Amanda has graced the stages of Hard Rock Café in Toronto, Upstairs Jazz Bar in Montreal, Revival, The Rivoli, The Smiling Buddha, Barrie Jazz and Blues Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Terry Fox Run & many venues across the region, she was featured as the opening act for Juno Award winning group Swollen Members. Amanda is a passionate performer whose love of music is surpassed only by her joy of sharing her gifts as vocal coach and mentor to her students. Amanda has been instrumental in the growth of many talented performers and songwriters, together they have celebrated singing live on B101, Rogers Daytime, YTV, OMNI TV, radio play on KICX 106, ROCK 95 Live, CNE Rising Star, Promenade Days, Local and Loud, New Music Festival, Battle of the Bands and many vocal competitions across Canada.

Amanda captured artists in motion behind the lens for over a decade in Canada’s entertainment and music industry photographing some of Canada’s most cherished songwriters including Alanis Morissette, Maestro Fresh Wes, Melanie Durrant, Sam Roberts Band, Chantal Kreviazuk, Raine Maida, Kardinal Offishall, Carly Rae Jepsen, JRDN, Fefe Dobson and many other accomplished musicians. Amanda has been published in The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, National Post, Canadian Music Week, NXNE, CATSASK Music Magazine, BigTicket, Indie Music Week, and Song Association of Canada.

Open hearted in her approach, Amanda has been a regular contributor to the arts community for over 18 years. Her limitless energy and dedication to her students combined with her contributions to the arts shine straight from her heart & soul. Amanda is inspirational, changing lives of students with music, instilling confidence in the most shy, introverted adults and teenagers affording her students the ability to blossom into vocal powerhouses. It is an incredible sight to behold as an apprehensive singer takes their first session, gaining the confidence and understanding that they have the power to move people with their voice.  This is the gift of song that Amanda provides to everyone she encounters. Amanda is grateful to take her music career beyond & sharing with all of you by expressing herself in words through music and songs she has written for her upcoming album, RISING LOVE   XO . . .
